Students in Mrs. Pope's 3rd grade classes at Wheeler County Elementary School have been working towards moving up in their Accelerated Reading goals. Each time students gain 5 points, they are awarded a Pizza Hut Book It coupon for a free personal pan pizza.
The mission is to challenge each student to 'want to read' instead of 'having to read.' Mrs. Pope says she wants to create a love of reading within her classroom, which will unlock the door to lifelong learning.
