VHS CELEBRATES NATIVE AMERICAN HERITAGE — November is officially recognized as Native American Heritage Month, and history students at Vidalia High School celebrated their 'Indian' Heritage by researching and constructing original posters on historical aspects of Native Americans. The students made presentations of their research to their classmates, and their posters were displayed throughout the school as VHS honors the diversity of the various people-groups that have built this country. LITERACY LEADER – Toombs Central Elementary School was named one of Georgia’s Literacy Leader schools because of the tremendous growth of reading levels in their 3rd Grade students.
