The Eagles did get on the board first with a run in the top of the first inning. VHS tied the game at 1-1 in the bottom of the frame. Neither team scored over the next few innings, but in the bottom of the fourth VHS added a run to take their first lead of the game at 2-1.

VHS increased their lead to 3-1 in the bottom of the fifth inning, But Eagles Landing added a run in the top of the sixth to make it 3-2.

Vidalia took command in the bottom of the sixth inning as they scored four more runs to jump ahead to a 7-2 lead. VHS held the Eagles to just one run in the top of the seventh inning to take the win, 7-3, and keep their hopes alive. vs. Jeff Davis

Up next for VHS was a familiar foe in the Yellow Jackets of Jeff Davis. Although not in the same Region anymore, there is still a rivalry in softball between these two perennial powerhouses. This game, though, went in favor of the Yellow Jackets as they took a seven run win over VHS.

Vidalia took the early lead with a run in the top of the second inning, but that was the only run they scored in the game. JD tied the game in the bottom of the third inning at 1-1, and then went on top with two more runs in the fourth to lead 3-1.

The Jackets scored another in the fifth, and four more in the sixth on their way to an, 8-1, win over the Indians.

The loss ended the run for VHS. Vidalia finished the season with an overall record of 22-10, and they were 12-3 in Region play, finishing as the #4 team in the State in AA.
