TCHS Volleyball Season Ends

The Toombs County High School Lady Netdawgs volleyball team's journey this season ended with a challenging match in Fairburn against the #2 ranked 2A team, Landmark Christian School. This game marked the end of the road for several dedicated seniors and their head coach.

This year's graduating seniors are Anna Patrick, Scarlett Stanley, Martasia Burton, Anabel Cruz, and Neveah Fletcher for their relentless commitment and exceptional performances.

A look at the seniors’ season contributions – Anna Patrick: Racked up a teamhigh 137 kills, 81 service points, 23 aces, and 15 blocks. Scarlett Stanley: Led the team with 76 digs, alongside 103 service points and 35 aces. Martasia Burton: Topped the assists chart with 159, adding 44 service points, 14 aces, a block, and 4 kills. Anabel Cruz: Dominated with 153 service points, a team-leading 71 aces, 4 kills, 158 assists, and 23 digs. Neveah Fletcher: Though she couldn’t get clearance from GHSA to play, Neveah remained a vital team spirit, always putting in the effort during practice and being an invaluable teammate.

Fot the rest of the TCHS team – Makayla Brewton: Achieved 111 service points, 45 aces, 89 kills, 4 blocks, 4 assists, and led the underclassmen with 45 digs. Madison Brown: Secured 17 service points, 5 aces, 16 kills, 5 assists, and 9 digs. Arianna Hill: Led the underclassmen in multiple areas with 141 service points, 59 aces, 94 kills, and added a block, 3 assists, and 44 digs. Alivia Patrick: Contributed with 2 kills and 8 digs. MaKenzie Kilgore: Finished with 8 service points, an ace, 42 kills, led the underclassmen with 10 blocks, and added an assist and 4 digs. Emma Wright: Managed 129 service points, 46 aces, 4 assists, and 13 digs.

A special note on Mr. Tom Brodnax, who led the program for over two decades. His leadership turned the Lady Netdawgs into a formidable force capable of competing against teams studded with club players. TCHS says a big thank you to Coach Broadnax for his invaluable contributions and for creating countless memorable moments.

As this chapter closes, the search begins for a new leader to take the reins and guide the Lady Dawgs into the next era.
