Indians Dominate At Jeff Davis

The Vidalia High School Indians cross country teams have completed their regular season with a big win in Jeff Davis at the 3 Rivers Classic on Thursday of last week.

Junior Georgia Meredith put in her season best time and came home with a huge win with a time of 20:06. Georgia continues to increase her state and region ranking each time she competes. Adding to her efforts as a team were Judith Hussey, Sadie Siegmund, Gabby Hester and Alana Claxton.

They boys had a respectable first place finish scoring 49 points to Jeff Davis’ 62 points while Long County placed 3rd with 95 points. Andrew Hodges continues to push the pace every race with Jude Owen hot on his heels. The duo placed 3rd and 4th while Cash Driggers was not far behind finishing 10th. Chamlee Evans rounded out had a strong run placing 13th and Abrien Anthony put in a season best time placing 19th.

The Indians hit the road on Thursday, October 26, for the Region 3AA Championship that kicks off at 9:30 a.m. at Toombs County High School.
