The Toombs County High School Redcoat Band performed at the 10th Annual Band Blast Competition Saturday, September 30. The Band Blast is held every year at Southeast Bulloch High School and is organized by Band Director Matt Olsen and his staff. This year the competition featured 16 bands from the southeast region of Georgia. Bands were rated by a panel of judges in several categories including: 3 Band judges and 1 judge for each of the following categories: Drum Major/Field Conductor, Percussion and Auxiliary.

The band Redcoat Band performed its show “Back To The 90s”, which included the songs “Smells Like Teen Spirit', 'Enter Sandman', 'Una Noche Mas' and 'Livin’ La Vida Loca.' Solos were performed by Band members Arturo Gomez, Mason Curl and Areli Gonzalez. The band received Superior ratings in all of the individual categories. The Band will also be competing in the East Georgia Marching Championships Saturday, October 28, 2023, at Statesboro High School. The Band will be performing its show at all of the remaining Toombs County football games this season and will be adding its closer in the coming weeks. It will include the song 'Tears In Heaven' and 'Barbie Girl.' Fans are invited to come out to the game and enjoy the halftime performance the rest of the season.

Redcoat Alumni night will take place Friday, October 27, at the Windsor Forest game. All former Redcoats are invited to bring their horn and play in the stands with the band.
