TCHS Esports Week 1

The Toombs County High School Bulldogs' esports team kicked off their preseason campaign in spectacular fashion, securing a clean sweep of all four matchups in the opening week of Splatoon 3 action. Bulldog fans were treated to an exhilarating display of skill and teamwork as the first and second teams delivered impressive victories. vs. Piedmont The day began with a resounding 3-0 victory over the Piedmont Wildcats of Piedmont, Oklahoma. The Bulldogs wasted no time establishing dominance in the first matchup, Turfwar, where they secured a 60.4% coverage to the Wildcats' 29%. Ethan Heath led the charge with an impressive 11 splats and 3 specials.

Rainmaker proved to be another triumph for the Bulldogs, as they outclassed the Wildcats with a final score of 99-39. Jack Williams spearheaded this effort with 23 splats and 5 specials. In the final round, Splat Zones, the Bulldogs emerged victorious in knockout fashion, with Christian Castro contributing 6 splats and 3 specials. vs. Seckinger

In the second match of the day, the Bulldogs faced off against Seckinger High School of Buford, Georgia, in a highly-anticipated rematch of the 1st Round of the Fall 2022 Splatoon 3 Georgia League playoffs, where the Bulldogs had triumphed 3-0. The Bulldogs once again asserted their dominance, clinching the match with a score of 3-1. Turfwar saw the Bulldogs seize victory with a commanding 58.2% to 29.3% coverage, led by Jack Williams, who racked up 15 splats and 2 specials. Rainmaker proved to be another successful round for the Bulldogs, who won 94-41, with Jack Williams delivering 22 splats and 3 specials. Despite a last-second upset loss in the third round, the Bulldogs rallied for a decisive Tower Control win, sealing the match in knockout fashion. Jack Williams led the charge in this round with 10 splats and 1 special.

2nd Team

The Bulldogs' second Splatoon team also had a remarkable start to their season, securing dominant wins over Bishop Ludden High School of Syracuse, New York, and Windermere High School of Windermere, Florida.
