Brewton-Parker College Women’s Volleyball has announced the 2023 schedule ahead of the upcoming campaign.
BPC is 45 days away from opening the 2023 season as Head Coach Obed Quiles begins his first campaign at the helm of the Lady Barons’ program. Brewton-Parker is set to compete in seven games away from Gillis Gym before returning home to Mount Vernon on Sept. 5 against Columbia (S.C.).
The Lady Barons will see a handful of action early with a tri-match at Toccoa Falls (Ga.) to close out August prior to competing in four matches during the Bash at the Beach in Brunswick, (Ga.) on Sept. 1-2.
Last season, BPC finished with a 2-23 overall record with a 2-15 conference record. The Lady Barons are set to compete in 28 contests while SSAC play begins with a weekend road trip to Point (Ga.) on Sept. 8 and Life (Ga.) on Sept. 9 with a total 14 conference contests on tap.
Conference play will look a little different this season as the SSAC will begin divisional play to determine postseason berths. The SSAC volleyball landscape will be split with five teams in the East Division and six teams in the West Division.
“I’m looking forward to this first season at BPC,” Coach Quiles mentioned. “The program is excited for a new beginning and we’re patiently waiting to begin working towards building something great.”
