Toombs School Board Slates Budget Hearing, Solar Project Presentation

The Toombs County School System will hold its annual budget hearing on Thursday, June 22, after which the Board will hear a presentation from Doug Baird on the implementation of solar panels on the school grounds.

According to Superintendent Barry Waller, the school has received a grant to proceed with the District’s solar project, so Baird will inform the Board about the implementation process and answer any questions that may arise.

The budget hearing will begin at 5 p.m., and the budget will be voted upon at the conclusion of the hearing. The solar presentation will follow. The proposed budget is available for review online at the District’s website.
