WHEELER 4-H PLANTS GARDEN — Students from the Wheeler County 4-H have worked tirelessly on a project to create a garden at the Wheeler County Senior Citizen Center. These youths relocated existing raised beds to the Senior Citizen Center. Once these beds were moved, the students refilled them with soil and fertilizer, and planted several vegetables, including cucumbers, eggplant, bell peppers, squash, and tomatoes. Funding for this project was made possible by the Ohoopee Soil and Water Conservation District. (Above) L to R: Karly Sims, Kavion Williams, Martin Wynn, Fisher Thornton, Justice Reid.
