VHS Runs At Pierce Co.

Tuning up for this week’s Region 3AA Championships, the Vidalia High School track and field teams traveled to Pierce County on Wednesday of last week to compete in their final regular season meet of the year. The VHS boys took first place in the tri-meet with the girls finishing second to Pierce County Both teams travel to Pierce County again this Tuesday (4/18) and Thursday (4/20) to compete in the Region 3AA Track and Field Championships.

Team Results for girls were: 1st Pierce 91 pts., 2nd Vidalia-71 pts., and 3rd Wayne County-58 pts. Team results for boys: 1st Vidalia- 132 pts., 2nd Pierce-65 pts., and 3rd Wayne County-44 pts.

Girls Girls Individual Results are as follows: 100m-2nd, J'Miya Hunt; 200m-2nd, J'Miya Hunt, 3rd, Kayden Love; 400-1st, Mischa Wardlaw, 3rd-Hannah Pittman; 100h- 1st, Dashia Ford; Long Jump-3rd, Mischa Wardlaw; Triple Jump-1st, Dashia Ford, 2nd, Takaiya Bacon; Shot Put-1st, Deidra Boston, 3rd, Emma Humphrey; Discus-1st, Maniyah Phillips, 93-7 (PR).
