Work

The Georgia Department of Transportation has advised that road work will be underway on State Route 4/U.S. Highway 1 over the Altamaha River from West River Road in Appling County to George Hill Road in Toombs County through May.

Daily lane closures are scheduled from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Tire Amnesty

Week

The Cities of Vidalia and Lyons will host the annual Tire Amnesty Week from Monday, April 10, until Friday, April 14. Tires should be placed out by the curb on the right of way by residents within city limits by noon on Thursday, April 13, and will be picked up free of charge.
