MCHS Eagles Over Wheeler
The Montgomery County High School soccer teams improved their records last week. They swept the Bulldogs of Wheeler County on Tuesday in Alamo and then split with Portal on Friday in Mt. Vernon. vs. Wheeler
The Lady Eagles scored three goals in the game and held Wheeler scoreless. MCHS took the win, 3-0.
In the boys' contest it was a close game in the first half with each team scoring one goal. But in the second half the Eagles took control and put three more goals on the board. Wheeler did add one goal, but MCHS took the win, 4-2. vs. Portal
In the girls' game the Lady Eagles came out on top in a battle. MCHS won the game 4-3 over the Lady Panthers.
The boys did not fare as well, as Portal scored twice in the first half and then put severn more on the board in the second half. That gave the Panthers a 9-0 win.
The Lady Eagles are 4-7-1 on the year and 3-6 in the Region, and the boys are 1-9and 0-3 in the Region. This week MCHS was on the road at Swainsboro on Monday and then will wrap up the regular season on Friday at home against McIntosh County Academy.
