BUILDING RELATIONSHIPS – The fair gave students the chance to not only introduce themselves and learn more about each opportunity, but to also begin building relationships with these community stakeholders. Southeastern Early College and Career Academy (SECCA) hosted a College and Career Readiness Fair on Tuesday, February 28, to allow students to meet and interact with potential postsecondary educators and employers.

School, business, military, and college representatives set up booths in the Southeastern Technical College's Automotive Lab, which is housed in the SECCA building. Students from Montgomery County High School, Toombs County High School, Treutlen County High School, and Vidalia High School browsed the various booths and learned more about each opportunity located in the surrounding communities.


PAINT PARTY — To celebrate National Beta Week, some of the 8th grade Beta members from JR Trippe Middle School joined residents of the Oaks Bethany Assisted Living for a paint party. Special thanks to the JR Trippe art teacher, Dara Dennis, for leading the paint party and making it so enjoyable for the residents. Another special thank you to Kellie Downie Cox and Brooke Dunford, Beta Club sponsors, for organizing this event. Pictured are residents and students showing their artwork.

JDD SUPER HEROES — Congratulations to the new group of J.D. Dickerson Super Heroes! These first grade students are chosen from their class to greet staff and students as they arrive in the mornings. J.D. Dickerson is so thankful for their leadership and for the fact that they show school pride by being responsible, respectful, and safe.
