The Vidalia High School Indians track & field teams traveled to Baldwin County High School to compete in the Friday Night Lights Invitational track meet. The Lady Indians finished 4th as a team bringing home one champion, Georgia Meredith in the 1600m. The boys team placed first with 6 teams competing. The Indians scored 178 points to 2nd place Baldwin's 113, 3rd was Cross Creek with 104 points. They boys brought home individual champions, Tyran Jacobs won the 100m with a personal best time of 10.78 and 200m, while Nahvie Berry won the 110h. The 4×100 relay and 4×200 relay also placed first.

Once again VHS had multiple top 3 finishers and personal best performances. The conditions were not ideal with gusting winds and patches of rain but the athletes focused and competed well. VHS was able to add their wrestlers and basketball players to the squad for this meet and they were a valuable addition to the team.

The Indians will return to Baldwin High School on Friday, March 10, for the Anderson Bentley Invitational. The following week the Indians will be hosting the Indian Invitational at Vidalia High School on March 17, starting at 4:00 p.m.
