On Tuesday of last week, Toombs County Lady Bulldogs Soccer standout Anyadi Colmenares signed her letter of intent to continue her playing career at Point University in West Point, GA. Anyadi has excelled as a Toombs County Bulldog and will look to build upon that success as she moves on to play at the next level.

Coach Jeremy Moore said, “Anyadi has worked for years to get to this point. She deserves every bit of this scholarship. She committed to working towards this goal of receiving a scholarship and she earned it. I’m so proud of her and it has been an absolute joy to be her coach the past 4 years and watch her grow and mature as a player and as a young lady. I’m excited to watch her go do great things for the Point women’s soccer program. I know she is going to do well there.”

Coach Randy Douglas of Point University added, “She can score goals. She has the ability to take players on, and she is also an unselfish player. That will really bode well for us. We are replacing our top three leading scorers from last season, and we expect Anyadi to come in and take the place of what we had.”

Colmenares stated, “The main reason I chose Point University was the team itself. The girls really made me feel welcomed. I just loved the campus and the coaches, and really felt like I would fit in best there of all the places I could have chose from. I must thank Coach Fletcher and Coach Moore for all that they have done. They have helped me every step of the way and really made me the player that I am today. I have to thank my family for putting me in the soccer program to begin with. I never thought I would be signing for college soccer. I also want to thank my teammates for making my time here really enjoyable.”
