Girls vs. Pierce

The Lady Bulldogs played well but couldn't keep up with the Lady Bears of Pierce. Pierce was up 7-4 early in the game, but by the second quarter Toombs had come back to take a 10-8 lead. Pierce went back on top 15-14, but the Lady Bulldogs answered and held an 18-17 lead late in the first half.

But by the fourth quarter the Bears had pulled away to a 41-32 lead on Toombs, and they held on to win the game 48-34.

Boys vs. Peirce Tamarien Mcarthur and Jesus Quintero gave the Bulldogs an early 5-2 lead. Pierce came back and took a 9-8 lead, and was up 12-8 with one minute left in the first quarter. Quintero hit a three and then got a layup on a fast-break to give the Bulldogs the lead, 13-12, just before the end of the first quarter.

In the second quarter the Bulldogs were up 2013, and then a big ally-oop from Quintero to Eason gave TCHS a 22-13 lead. From there the Bulldogs began to pull away and were on top 26-16 by the end of the first half.

Toombs outscored Pierce 20-4 in the third quarter to take a 46-20 lead into the fourth. TCHS took the win over the Bears 6330.

Quintero led TCHS with 17 points and Eason added 15 in the win.
