Wheeler Over Dooly

The Wheeler County High School Bulldogs basketball teams took on Dooly County at home on Friday and then hosted Hawkinsville on Saturday. Wheeler split with the Bobcats of Dooly, but dropped both games to the Red Devils of Hawkinsville.

Girls vs. Dooly

Wheeler pulled ahead early in this game and were on top 24-10 in the first quarter. The Lady Bulldogs extended that lead in the second and were up 37-16 at halftime.

In the third Wheeler made the score 55-22 and they went on to win the game 63-32.

Wheeler was led by Mahogany King with 34 points, and Nikita James added 16.

Boys vs. Dooly

The Wheeler boys struggled against the Bobcats. Wheeler fell behind early and couldn't stop the Dooly offense. Wheeler fell to the Bobcats, 98- 46.

Girls vs. Hawkinsville

This game went the other direction for the Lady Bulldogs. Wheeler found themselves trailing 20-11 at the end of the first quarter. Wheeler struggled to find their offense in the second quarter and the Devils pushed their lead to 35-16 by halftime. Hawkinsville added to their lead in the third to make the score 51-22. Wheeler fell in the contest 63- 25.

Shiann Carey led the Lady Bulldogs with 13 points.

Boys vs. Hawkinsville

It was another tough loss for the Bulldogs as they fell to the Devils. Hawkinsville picked up the win, 74-58.

This week Wheeler hosted East Laurens on Tuesday after presstime. They will be back in action on Friday at Metter at 6:00 p.m. and then on Saturday they will be at East Laurens at 5:00 p.m. to wrap up the regular season.
