Telfair over Treutlen

The Vikings basketball teams of Treutlen County High School dropped a pair of games to Telfair County last week at home on Tuesday. The Lady Vikings are now 10-9 on the year but are 7-2 in Region play, while the boys are 11-10 and are 6-3 in the Region.

Girls vs. Telfair

Treutlen jumped out to the early lead as they went ahead 16-6 in the first quarter over the Lady Trojans. In the second Telfair began to come back and closed the lead to 29-25 at halftime.

In the third quarter of the game the Vikings were outscored 23-14 as Telfair took the lead. They were on top 48-43 heading to the fourth quarter. In the final period Telfair pulled away to a 74-62 win over the Vikings.

Boys vs. Telfair

Telfair also got the win in the boys game as they defeated the Vikings 71- 60.

This week Treutlen will be at Wilcox County on Friday at 6:00 p.m. and then will host West Laurens on Saturday at 6:00 p.m.
