the jail. Hunter Malone, who was hired as a jail officer in September 2022, was arrested in January 6, and charged with Criminal Attempt, Conspiracy, Solicitation, and Violation of Oath of Office, after authorities discovered he was bringing tobacco products into the facility.

Malone has been terminated from his employment, and could possibly face further charges with the Middle Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office.
