VHS Wrestles At Jeff Davis

The Vidalia High School Indian wrestling team traveled to Hazlehurst over the weekend to participate in the Yellow Jacket Duals at Jeff Davis High School. Twelve teams from around the state converged on Friday and Saturday, with the Vidalia grapplers taking third place in the Silver Bracket.

The Indians had several wrestlers who had a great weekend, including junior Ronald Pointer, who went 6-0 during the weekend. Myikel Johnson went 8-1, with Deuce Hightower and Jack Godbee finishing the meet 7-2. Levi Palmer and Stephen Cheeks each finished the weekend at 5-0.

The Indians will next wrestle in Lyons on Thursday when they take on Toombs County in the Rivalry Dual, beginning at 5:00 p.m.
