Indians Take 1 From Tattnall

The Vidalia High School Indians softball team got just one game in last week due to the hurricane. They played against the Bears of Pierce County on Tuesday and came away with a win. The Indians wasted no time as they scored a run in the bottom of the first inning to take an early lead. They plated three more runs in the second inning as they took control of the game 4-0 over the Bears.

VHS scored three more runs in the fourth inning to push the lead to 7-0.

With the win the Indians move to 12-9-1 overall and they are 6-4 in Region 3AA. They currently sit at third in the Region with the regular season coming to an end next week. Appling County has already claimed the Region Title with their close win over Toombs County last week. VHS is currently fighting with Brantley County for the #2 spot.

This week the Indians faced off with rival Toombs County on Tuesday after presstime. They will play at Tattnall County on Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. in their final Region game of the season. They will then have a game against former Region foe Jeff Davis on Wednesday of next week at home at 6:00 p.m.
