Wheeler Wins Over MCHS

The Wheeler County High School Bulldogs football team played host to the Eagles of Montgomery County High School last Friday night in Alamo. Wheeler took control of the game in the first half and held the Eagles in the second half to pick up the win. The Bulldogs scored all three of their touchdowns in the first half of the game as they held a 21-0 lead at halftime over the Eagles. Montgomery did pick up one touchdown in the second half of the game on a run by Cameron Wallace, but that was all they could do against the Bulldogs. Wheeler took the win 21-7 over MCHS. The Bulldogs had big games from Ian Scott, Jason Culver, Alvin Ricks, Rhett Rodgers. The Eagles were led by Wallace with 84 yards rushing.

Wheeler is now 2-2 on the year. They will be traveling to Claxton to face off with the Tigers this Friday night at 7:30 p.m. The Eagles will be on the road in McRae on Friday night at 7:30 p.m. to take on Telfair County.
