Wheeler Falls To Bryan

It was a tough week for the Bulldogs football team of Wheeler County High School as they ran into a very tough Bryan County team. Wheeler hosted the Redskins on Friday night of last week and fell 40-13. Bryan County took the lead in the first quarter, 6-0. Wheeler got on the board and took a 7-0 lead in the second quarter of the game, but Bryan answered and added a touchdown on an 11-yard run to go ahead 14-7.

Bryan made it 20-7 on a long pass play and then 26-7 on a long run. In the third quarter the Redskins got a fumble recovery for a touchdown to push their lead to 34-7.

Both teams scored one more time to make the final score 40-13 with Bryan County taking the win. This week the Bulldogs of Wheeler will host rival Montgomery County on Friday night at 7:30 p.m.
