The Toombs County Bulldogs Esports team will kick off their Fall 2022 season Monday, August 15. The Esports team will participate in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Splatoon 3 leagues this season and will return all four starters from last year’s teams. The Mario Kart 8 Deluxe team is led by seniors Adam Copeland and Tyler James. The Bulldogs made it to the fourth round of the playoffs last year and are looking to replicate that success this season. “We are excited to get another year of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe going, and we are really excited about the new courses that have been added to the game through the recent Mario Kart DLC,” said Copeland.

Splatoon 3 will be added in place of Splatoon 2 when the newest version of the game is released on September 9. Last year’s Splatoon 3 team, led by Senior Tyler James and Junior Gabrial Smith, advanced to the third round of the playoffs.

Toombs County Bulldogs Esports enters its third year of varsity athletic competition at Toombs County High School. The Esports team sees competition from teams across the state and country during two seasons each year. Coach Tyler Corley said, “I am excited to get another year of Toombs County High School Esports going. We strive to make Toombs County High School the premier place for Esports in Georgia and to develop our players into men and women of character.”
