Mead Named All Conference

Former Vidalia High School baseball standout, Landry Mead, has been named to the Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association All-Conference team, chosen by the GCAA Baseball Coaches. In his first year at East Georgia College, Mead led the conference in hitting with a .428 batting average and was 2nd in RBIs with 61. Mead also recorded 57 strikeouts on the mound, which was good for 5th in the league. “Being named to the All-Conference Team is a great honor,” said Mead, “To know the coaches around the conference recognize your abilities and contributions is pretty special. I am fortunate to be surrounded by individuals who continue to push me every day to be better.” Mead was 2-3 with a home run and 4 RBIs in the Bobcats’ 10-4 loss to Gordon in the conference tournament on Monday of last

week.
