MCHS Soccer Drops 3

The Montgomery County High School soccer teams took on Hawksinville and McIntosh County Academy last week. The girls split their games with the boys falling in both contests. vs. Hawkinsville

In the girls game both teams scored a goal in the first half to make it 1-1 at halftime. But in the second half the Lady Eagles picked up two goals to take the 3-1 win over the Red Devils.

MCHS got two goals from Citlali Hernandez-Gonzalez and one goal from Harley Kight.

In the boys contest the Eagles fell behind 2-0 at halftime. The Devils took the win 4-1. The only goal from MCHS came from Joel Garcia.

Vs. MCA

Against MCA on Thursday the Lady Eagles had a tough time as they fell 8-0. McIntosh scored three goals in the first half of the game and then added five more in the second half for the win.

The boys game was decided by a shootout. MCHS picked up a goal in the first half and then and one more in the second half, but MCA scored twice in the second half to force overtime. The game went to a shootout with MCA winning 3- 0.

This week the girls played Treutlen on Tuesday after presstime and then the girls will play again on Friday at Johnson County at 5:30 p.m.
