Heritage Rolls Over Memorial

The Eagles baseball team of Vidalia Heritage Academy were in Savannah on Friday of last week as they took on the Matadors of Memorial Day. VHA rolled to an easy win in the contest. The Eagles got 11 hits in the game and were helped out by 6 errors by the Matadors. VHA pulled ahead with three runs in the top of the first inning and then broke the game open in the second with six more to take a 9-0 lead. The Eagles plated five more runs in the top of the third inning, and then closed out the game in the top of the fourth with nine runs to take the win 23-0. RJ Wells led Heritage with 4 RBI’s and was followed by Luke Moxley and Mason Beacham, who each drove in 3 runs.

This week Heritage was at Chess Academy in Valdosta on Monday after presstime. They will be back in Savannah to take on Memorial Day again on Friday at 4:30 p.m.
