Treutlen Vikings Drop Two

The Treutlen County High School Vikings basketball team took on Emanuel County Institute and Wilcox County last week with the boys falling in both games.

Against ECI, Treutlen fell in a close game, 56-53 on Tuesday at home. They were at Wilcox on Thursday in Rochelle, and again lost a close matchup. The Vikings were on top 17-10 at the end of the first quarter, but a big second for Wilcox gave them the lead. Wilcox outscored Treutlen 22-11 in the second to take a 32-28 halftime lead. In the third the Patriots were on top 47-42. Treutlen held Wilcox to just 5 points in the fourth, but they only managed to score 9 as they fell 52-51 to the Patriots.

This week Treutlen hosted Johnson County on Tuesday after presstime. They will be back in action on Friday at Telfair County at 6:00 p. m.
