Onion Eating Contest

The Onion Eating Contest sponsored by the Vidalia Lions Club was rescheduled from Saturday to Sunday because of the rain that passed through the area. Held on the stage behind the Arts and Crafts Festival, this year’s competition featured two categories. Layla Sikes won the 11 and Under age group. Third-time participant Jonathan Flowers won the

17 and over age group consuming 10 onions in only 3 minutes.
