For the fourth year in a row, Palmer & Associates of Vidalia has made a large contribution to the Vidalia High School football program. In a presentation on Thursday, February 18, Jeffry and Julie Palmer presented the Indian football program with a check for $1,850. The “Cash for Touchdown” program sponsored by Palmer & Associates and Auto-Owners Insurance awards the VHS program with $50 every time the Indians score a touchdown. This year the Indians scored 37 offensive touchdowns for the $1,850 total, and Palmer says that they are happy that they can contribute to the program and help the team.

“We are proud to support Vidalia Indian football, this is our fourth year, and we are already looking forward to next year. I think this has been a win, win for us as well as the football program. Hopefully, things like this can be the difference makers, like being able to send a kid to a camp or something that may be a little extra that may be a want, but doesn’t quite fit the budget.”

Vidalia Head Football Coach Jason Cameron was very appreciative of the donation and said people like the Palmers help make the program better by investing in the program, “With donations like this, we are able to do some of the extra things that we may not have been able to do without it. We are more than appreciative, and I told the guys that this is why you represent the program well off the field as well as on because when you do things right, people want to invest in them and the program.”
