Parade Set for

December 4

The city of Lyons is getting into the holiday spirit with two upcoming events on Friday, December 4. Winter WonderLyons will be held downtown from 4 until 6 p.m. and the Lighted Christmas Parade is slated for 6 until 8 p.m. The registration deadline for participation in the parade is November 20. Go to lyonsmainstreet@gmail. com, the Facebook page or website for more information.

The 2020 Vidalia Christmas Parade Committee is seeking individuals to volunteer as parade marshals. A virtual training session is scheduled for November 30 at 5:30 p.m. Contact Emma Hamilton at 912-293-1610 or at ekhamilton1231@gmail.com for more information.

Entries Deadline

November 20

The deadline for entries in the Vidalia Christmas Parade is November 20. Applications and guidelines are available at Downtown Vidalia Association, Vidalia City Hall or at vidaliaga.gov/dva. The parade theme is Superheroes Celebrate Christmas. The parade is scheduled December 5 at 11 a.m.

A bank is a place that will lend you money if you can prove that you don’t need it.
