The Vidalia Heritage Academy Eagles suffered their first loss of this football season at home on Friday night of last week against the Rams of Covenant Academy out of Macon. By the 8:30 mark of the third quarter the Rams were on top 22-14. the Eagles would not be able to get any more points on the board in the game. Ethan Sikes did have a good 25-yard run in the third quarter and then a solid run by Jacob Thompson with 6:30 to play in the third moved it to the 35-yard line. A pass from Thompson to JT Cofield moved the ball to the 5-yard line, but the Rams defense held and took the ball over on downs at the 7-yard line with 3:30 left in the third quarter.

Covenant quickly moved the ball down the field, and on the final play of the third quarter they hit a 35-yard pass for a touchdown. They added the two-point conversion to take a 30-14 lead into the final quarter. Covenant added three more touchdowns in the fourth quarter of the game on their way to a 48-14 victory over Heritage. This week the Eagles will host their Homecoming Game against Grace Christian with kickoff at 7:30 p.m.
