All seats are at-large. Candidates will be considered for one board seat. Board seat one shall have a term expiration date of January 1, 2028 and Board seat four shall have a term expiration date of January 1, 2029. The qualifications for members to serve on the Montgomery County Board of Tax Assessors are set forth in O.C.G.A. § 48-5-291 (a) Interested candidates may pick up an application and criminal history release form at the Montgomery County Board of Commissioners’ Office located at 310 West Broad Steet, Mount Vernon, Georgia or you may download a board application at www.montcoga.gov. PATRIOTS AND PARROT HEADS – The Annual Vidalia Fourth of July Celebration was filled with community members showing off their patriotic and “parrot head” tropical attire, as the A1A Band performed a tribute show to the late Jimmy Buffett at the Ronnie A.
