Treutlen County EMA Director Justin McNure presented a $4,954,060.50 check from the Federal Emergency Management Agency to the county board of commissioners on May 4, 2026. According to McNure and County Commissioner Chairman Phil Jennings, these funds will pay outstanding invoices already received connected to the emergency storm debris removal and clean-up efforts as a result of damage caused by Hurricane Helene.
