Montgomery Co. Library Continues Fun in August

The Montgomery County Public Library is continuing to host numerous fun events and programs throughout August, as the library has recently released their monthly calendar.
Patrons of all ages can enjoy a time of Coffee and Coloring at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, August 5.
On Thursday, August 6, kids can enjoy hearing a story and making a craft during Crafty Tales at 4 p.m.
The library’s youngest patrons – ages birth through five – and their siblings can enjoy being read a story, playtime, bubbles, and a simple craft during Books and Bubbles at 2 p.m. on Monday, August 10.
From 3:30 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 12, people of all ages can come show off their lego skills and complete challenges during Lego Club.
The Kids Craft Club will make a lighthouse at 4 p.m. on Thursday, August 13.
Children can make new friends and play with bubble wands from 12 p.m. until 1 p.m. on Saturday, August 15.
Books and Bubbles will feature a story time, playtime, bubbles, and a simple craft at 2 p.m. on Monday, August 17. atrons of all ages can show off their creativity, as they paint a flamingo and enjoy a sweet treat during Cookies and Canvas at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, August 18.
Patrons of all ages can enjoy a time of Coffee and Coloring at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, August 19.
During Crafty Tales, kids will read a story about a sea turtle and make a turtle- themed craft at 4 p.m. on Thursday, August 20.
At 2 p.m. on Monday, August 24, the library’s youngest patrons – ages birth through five – and their siblings can enjoy being read a story, playtime, bubbles, and a simple craft during Books and Bubbles.
Kids will explore science, technology, engineering, and math as they make cardboard creations at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, August 25.
From 3:30 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 26, people of all ages can come show off their lego skills and complete challenges during Lego Club.
The library, located at 215 S. Railroad Avenue in Mount Vernon, is open from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Monday through Thursday, and from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Saturday, but is closed on Sunday and Friday.
