TCHS Wrestles At State

The Toombs County High School wrestling team competed in the GHSA State AA Dual Championship last weekend in Barnsville. The Bulldogs had a good showing at the tournament but lost both of their matches.

TCHS vs. Oglethorpe

Toombs first match of the tournament was against Oglethorpe County. Toombs got a few wins in the match, but came up short 50-27.

TCHS vs. Banks

That loss put Toombs against Banks County in their next match and the Bulldogs made it a close one, but came up just short. Toombs fell 39-36.

Up next for the Bulldog wrestlers will be the individual part of the season as they will host the Region Traditional this Friday and Saturday with matches starting at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
