VALEDICTORIAN – Toombs County High School Class of 2025 Valedictorian Shivani Patel was recognized by the Toombs County Board of Education on May 8.

The Toombs County Board of Education recognized their retiring staff members during their meeting on Thursday, May 8.

Each retiring staff member was given a gift as a token of the Board’s appreciation for the individuals’ dedication and service to the district. Retiring staff members included Lyons Primary School Counselor Maria Collins, Lyons Upper Elementary School Principal Rhonda Stone, Toombs Central Elementary School Teacher Janice Toole, Toombs County Middle School Teacher Teresa Holland, Toombs County Middle School Teacher Janet Lynn, Toombs County Middle School Media Specialist Terri Overstreet, Toombs County High School Teacher Angie O’Conner, Special Education Director Sabrina Woodruff, Curriculum Director Tonawanda Irie, and School Food Nutrition Secretary Rita Miller.

In addition to recognizing these staff members, the Board also recognized three Toombs County High School Seniors for receiving awards throughout the school year.

Shivani Patel was honored for being named the Toombs County High School Class of 2025 Valedictorian and Stephanie Eduardo-Ramos was recognized for being named the Toombs County High School Class of 2025 Salutatorian.

Student Teacher Achievement Recognition (STAR) Student Noelia Nevarez and STAR Teacher Megan Morris were also honored by the Board.


SALUTATORIAN — Toombs County High School Class of 2025 Salutatorian Stephanie Eduardo-Ramos was recognized by the Toombs County Board of Education on May 8.
