MCBOE Approves Personnel Recommendations

The Montgomery County Board of Education (MCBOE) approved several personnel recommendations for the upcoming 2025-2026 school year.

Resignations were accepted for Montgomery County Elementary School (MCES) Preschool Intervention Program Teacher Samantha Robertson, Montgomery County Elementary School 3rd Grade Math Teacher Anne Dixon, and Montgomery County Elementary School Paraprofessional Olga Kirolos.

The retirement of Montgomery County Middle/High School Nurse Sheila Clark was also approved. Clark was approved to serve as a substitute nurse in the position when needed.

The Board hired several new staff members: Montgomery County Elementary School (MCES) Preschool Intervention Program Teacher Amy Taylor and Montgomery County Middle/High School Nurse Patricia Varnes.

Montgomery County Elementary School Department of Exceptional Learning Paraprofessional Emma McCoy Beall was approved to become a 4th Grade Teacher.

Leaette Williamson was rehired as a Montgomery County High School Response to Intervention Specialist (49%).
