Claxton got on the board first with a run in the top of the first inning, but that was the only lead they would hold as Wheeler came out in the bottom of the first and put 4 runs on the board to take a 4-1 lead. The Tigers of Claxton added a run in the top of the second inning to close the lead to 4-2. Wheeler scored 2 more runs in the third, and then 2 more in each of the fourth and fifth innings to win the game by the run rule, 10-2. Kayleigh Sanders led the Bulldogs at the plate with 2 RBI's and 4 hits. Anna Beth Ethredge also had 4 hits in the game. Paisley McCranie got the win in the circle for Wheeler.

vs. Portal

Wheeler was in the lead until the final inning against the Panthers of Portal, but a big inning cost them the win. Portal scored the first run of the game in the top of the third inning, but Wheeler answered with 2 in the bottom of the frame to take the lead. Wheeler added a run in the fifth inning for a 3-1 lead, but in the top of the seventh inning Portal jumped ahead with 3 runs to lead 4-3.

Wheeler couldn't score in the bottom of the seventh as they fell 4-3 to the Panthers. Shiann Carey led Wheeler with 2 hits.

vs. Hawkinsville

This game was all Red Devils as they took the lead in the first inning with 1 run, and then added 5 more in the second to lead 6-0.

Wheeler did plate a run in the bottom of the second, but 3 more from Hawkinsville in the third put them on top 9-1. They held that score through the fifth to win by the run rule. Wheeler is now 7-14 overall on the year and are 2-6 in the Region. This is the next to last week of the regular season for Wheeler. They played rival Treutlen on Tuesday after presstime and will play Dooly County on Wednesday at home at 5:00 p.m. They will wrap up the regular season next week with a game against Metter on Thursday at 6:00 p.m.
