Management Agency Director Donnie Daniels, and Wheeler County Emergency Management Agency Director Steve Adams all reported trees down throughout their respective counties. While some structural damages occurred in Toombs County, no injuries resulted from the storms.

Daniels said a total of 30 trees that had to be removed from Montgomery County roadways.

Moore also reported two structures receiving extensive damage, as a roof was blown off of a South Thompson Community resident’s shop, and a hole was punctured into the home of a Normantown resident after a tree fell on the home.

All areas experienced temporary loss of power, and Altamaha EMC issued a statement encouraging customers to be patient as crews battled the outages.

Residents are encouraged to report all damage to their county’s Emergency Management Agencies or 911.
