Fall Signups At Partin Park

Preparations for the fall sports season are underway, and the Lyons Recreation Department is officially opening its rosters. Registration for football, soccer, and cheerleading runs from July 20 through August 7. The entry fee is $45 per athlete. The front office accepts cash, cards, and checks.

Football

Football signups feature a mix of flag and tackle formats. Younger players aged 5 to 8 will compete in the 6U and 8U flag divisions. The older boys get to put the pads on for 10U and 12U tackle leagues as they work toward a Championship. A 14U girls flag football division is also available for ages 11 to 14.

Soccer

The soccer program offers co-ed play across six different age brackets. Beginners can learn the game in the 4U and 6U divisions for ages 3 to 6. The leagues step up progressively through 8U, 10U, and 12U, finishing with a 15U division for kids up to 15 years old.

Cheer

Cheerleading registration covers four separate squads. Kids aged 5 to 12 can join the 6U, 8U, 10U, or 12U divisions to stay active on the sidelines throughout the fall schedule.

Parents need to keep the June 30, 2026, age control date in mind when placing their kids in a division. Department rules strictly state that any pastdue balances from previous seasons must be settled before a child can play. Equipment will not be issued until old accounts and current fees are cleared.
