Betts Speaks to the Four Rivers Patriots Chapter

The Four Rivers Patriots Chapter, Sons of the American Revolution held its monthly meeting Thursday night, July 16, at Chatters Restaurant in Lyons at 6 p.m. With members Steve Burke and East Region VP Dess Smith absent due to attending the National SAR Congress in Greensboro, NC, there were 11 in attendance.

Following the invocation by Sergeant-at-Arms Dan Brown, President Joel Keener led the membership in the Pledge of Allegiance and the SAR pledge. Dan Brown then presented the evening’s speaker, Don Betts, who gave an interesting and informative presentation on the Cooper-Conner House.

Following the presentation, Vice President Doyle Waller gave the benediction, and President Keener then led the group in the SAR Recessional. The next meeting will be Thursday, August 20, at Chatters at 6 p.m.
