Can You Spare One Hour?

The Keep It Clean, Vidalia! committee is searching for 100 volunteers willing to give one hour of their time to pick up litter and help clean up the city from 9 a.m until 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 13.
The committee to Keep it Clean Vidalia was inspired by a few citizens who noticed that litter was polluting the city. These individuals are actively working to pick up trash and litter when able, but understand that for the issue to improve, all people have to agree that litter has no place within the city.
Each month, the group gets together to clean up various areas of the city through community cleanups, and will meet to pick up trash next on June 13.
Committee Founder Howard Holman is also offering a unique incentive for participants – a certificate that they can give the father figures in their lives for Father’s Day. “One of my daughters said she was coming to Vidalia to pick up litter as my Father's Day present. That made us think that maybe there would be others who want to honor their father in the same way,” Holman explained. “Those wishing to have one of these certificates can contact us, and we will have it ready to be picked up on June 13.”
