Early Voting for Run- Off Election To Begin Next Week

Voters will have the chance to cast their ballots early in the upcoming General Primary Run-off Election for one week, as the polls open for advanced voting on Monday, June 8.
Two local races will be on the ballot in Toombs and Wheeler Counties, as David Beasley and Chris Reaves face off to see who will both immediately fill the seat vacated by Commissioner Tommy Rollins and will represent the citizens of District 4 on the Toombs County Commission for the continued from page

Both Republicans and Democrats will go to the polls to cast their picks for several candidates in state and federal elections to represent their respective parties in the upcoming General Election in November.
Republican Races

Ceretta Smith Voting Dates and Locations Any registered voter may vote in the run-off election. If a voter has previously voted in the General Primary Election last month, they must vote the political party’s ballot which they previously voted; if the voter did not cast a ballot in the primary election or voted a nonpartisan ballot, they may choose to vote for whichever party’s ballot they desire.
Applications for absentee ballots should be submitted to voters’ respective county Board of Elections by Friday, June 5. Early voting for the upcoming run-off election will be held from Monday, June 8, until Friday, June 12. Voting locations and hours are:
Montgomery County:
From 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Monday through Friday at the Montgomery County Government Annex, located at 251 S. Richardson St. in Mt. Vernon
Toombs County:
From 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Monday through Friday at the Toombs County Courthouse, located at 100 Courthouse Square in Lyons
Treutlen County:
From 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Monday through Friday at the Treutlen County Government Annex, located at 650 Second Street in Soperton
Wheeler County:
From 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Monday through Friday at the Wheeler County Board of Elections Office, 16 W. Forest Avenue in Alamo The General Primary Run-off Election will be held from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. on Tuesday, June 16.
