Community Clean-Up to Be Held Saturday

The Keep It Clean, Vidalia committee will make sure that the Sweet Onion City is looking its best ahead of the Vidalia Onion Festival, as they host a Community Clean-Up on Saturday, April 11.

The Keep It Clean, Vidalia initiative was started by a group of local community members who wanted to put an end to the spread of litter throughout the city. Twice a month, the group hosts clean-up events, where volunteers join the committee in picking up trash and debris throughout the city.

A Community Clean-Up Day will begin at 9 a.m. on Saturday, April 11, as volunteers will gather at the Vidalia Community Center, located at 107 Old Airport Road, to receive supplies and instructions. These volunteers will spread throughout the community, picking up waste, and returning the sparkle of cleanliness and pride to the area.
