Roundtree and L.J. Morgan.
Current and former basketball players from Vidalia High School, Toombs County High School, and Swainsboro High School participated in the tournament, showcasing sportsmanship while honoring Ja’Darius’ memory.
Two local officials, including Preston Mc-Clendon, managed the court and kept the fastpaced action running smoothly. McClendon's support for this event helped make it a success.
The scoreboard wasn't the real point of the day, though. Between the games, tournament organizers presented two scholarships to deserving local students. The awards recognize academic achievement and strong character, passing McLendon's legacy down to the next generation of kids coming through the ranks.
It was a solid day of basketball for a better cause. The sidelines stayed lined with friends, former classmates, and family filled with excitement, laughter, fellowship, and cherished memories to celebrate the life of a young man whose legacy continues to inspire others. For the McLendon family, the steady roar of the crowd served as a fitting reminder of the lasting mark Ja’Darius left on the community.
