Treutlen 4-H’ers Earn Honors At State Horse Show

Four Treutlen County 4-H Club Members came home with ribbons during the Georgia 4-H State Horse Show earlier this month, as the competitors found success throughout three divisions of competition.
Over 176 competitors entered the ring at the Georgia National Fairgrounds in Perry, as 4-H’ers sought to take home the gold throughout four divisions and 108 classes. Four Treutlen County 4-H’ers – Perri Scott, Arlyn Campbell, Ella Roberson, and Payton Campbell – tested their skills at the show.
Scott competed in the Cloverleaf Division, where she won the Sportsmanship Award, finished in the Top Ten in every class of competition that she participate din, and received 5th overall for Stock Seat and Ranch Horse divisions with her 25 year-old horse, TEX.
Arlyn Campbell competed in the Junior Division, where she took home third place in Western Stock Seat and Grand Champion for the Ranch Division.
Robertson and Payton Campbell competed in the Senior Division. Robertson palced 5th Overall in the Ranch class and took home 2nd place in Boxing and Herd. Campbell was the Grand Champion in the Western Stock Seat and Ranch classes, and is now a Master 4-H’er.
Arlyn Campbell, Payton Campbell, and Ella Robertson will now move on to the Southern Regional Show in July, where they will compete for further honors.
