Summer bingo nights at the Dahlia Event Center in Vidalia are officially back, as a group of citizens host bingo each Tuesday night to raise money for the United Way of Toombs, Montgomery, and Wheeler Counties.
In 2024, a group of citizens began hosting a few bingo nights to raise money for the cause very dear to their hearts. The event was a success, so the group held bingo every week during the summer months of June, July, and August 2025. Each week, crowds filled the Dahlia, and thousands of dollars were raised for the local United Way.
This year, Summer Bingo Nights have returned, as the Dahlia, located at 200 SW Main Street in Vidalia, welcomes adults and kids to play ten rounds of Bingo every Tuesday night from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. in hopes of winning a variety of prizes donated by local businesses and individuals. Food trucks also set up at the event, selling their wares for the public to enjoy while they play the game and fellowship, and the Dahlia sells popcorn and drinks.
Each night also has a theme, as the hosts work to bring fun and excitement to the event every week. Recently, the themes and food trucks for each week during summer were announced: June 16 Wild West Bingo, and Elkhatib Mediterranean Sizzle June 23 Roper Romp Bingo and Kinfolk June 30 Red, White, & Blue Bingo and Y’all Dogs July 7 Summer Camp Bingo and Zack’s Durty Dogz July 14 Christ mas in July Bingo and The
