Montgomery County Schools is making sure that no students go hungry this summer, as the school system is distributing free summer meals to children, ages 18 years old and under, each Wednesday throughout June.
From 11:45 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. each Wednesday, Montgomery County Schools will provide meal boxes – stocked with 7 days worth of breakfast and lunch with reheating instructions – for children at the Montgomery County Middle/High School, located at 100 Faye D. Brewer Street in Mount Vernon. Parents and guardians may pick up meals only for the children in their household; children must be present to receive the meal boxes.
June 24 will be the last day that meal boxes are distributed.
Limited supplies of meal boxes are available and will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. Families are encouraged to arrive early to ensure they secure a box.
